SAN ANTONIO, Zambales –  Reylie Torre Cellar, 18, was found dead and floating in the water around San Salvador Island in Masinloc town on Wednesday (June 14) evening, according to authorities.

Champ del Rosario, head of the Cabangan municipal disaster risk reduction and management office, told Freeport Insider that Cellar’s body was dragged by strong waves about 51 kilometers away from where he was last seen and believed to have drowned.

Cellar’s body was discovered by a fisherman around 6 p.m. and brought it to the shore before calling the local police.

The family of the victim confirmed that the body was that of Cellar.

Cellar and his friends visited the province from Caloocan City to celebrate their win in a basketball tournament.

They went for a swim at the beach but the strong current dragged Cellar into a deep portion where he drowned. FREEPORT INSIDER
