OLONGAPO CITY – A missing tourist who was swept away by big waves while swimming at a beach resort in Barangay Barretto here was found dead on Sunday (Sept. 3). 

Reports from Olongapo City police station 6 said the body of Bernardo Laynes, 30, a resident of Angeles City, Pampanga was retrieved at 10 a.m. by the emergency responders in the area.

Laynes and some of his friends went to the resort for a team-building. While swimming Laynes was dragged by big waves into a deep portion of the sea.

One of Laynes’ friends managed to survive while Laynes had gone missing until his body was eventually found. FREEPORT INSIDER
