SUBIC FREEPORT ZONE – The driver of a shuttle bus service and its 20 passengers were injured after they collided into a Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) fire truck at the Subic Freeport Expressway, Tipo on Tuesday (Oct. 3).

According to investigators, the SBMA firetruck was in the area to respond to another accident that occurred at Kilometer Post 10 prior the incident.

The shuttle bus service was owned by Tong Lung Company driven by certain Montemayor while the SBMA fire truck was driven by a certain Cerezo. The investigators did not get the first names of the driver.

The driver of the bus and its injured passengers were taken to James Gordon Memorial Hospital for treatment while the driver of the SBMA firetruck complained of chest pains and was given treatment by an SBMA medical team.
