OLONGAPO CITY —The Central Luzon Regional Athletic Association (CLRAA) registered its strongest finish after 20 years at the Palarong Pambansa held recently in Marikina City, NCR.

CLRAA ended the national games as the Over-all Third (3rd) Runner-up.

CLRAA clutched the 2023 Palarong Pambansa Overall 3rd Runner-Up Award after snatching 28 gold medals, 33 silver medals, and 46 bronze medals in the national athletics meet.

It also and also received the 3rd Runner-Up Award in the Elementary Category.

According to Regional Sports Officer Sammy Sampang, the CLRAA Delegation’s highest rank in the history of the Palarong Pambansa was achieved in 2003, when the Palarong Pambansa was held in Tubod, Lanao del Norte.

At the said event, CLRAA bagged the Overall First Runner-Up award. The latest Palarong Pambansa was held from July 29 to August 5, 2023. FREEPORT INSIDER
