Olongapo City formalizes Sister Cities International Partnership with National City, California, USA at the Olongapo City Hall on Tuesday, July 25.

Olongapo City Mayor Rolen Paulino Jr and National City Ron Morrison signed the agreement that aims to strengthen the longstanding relationship between the two cities.

During his speech, Morrison emphasized the significance of the agreement in bringing their sisterhood to the forefront of global awareness.

“We knew we were Sister Cities, but nobody else knew it. We’re going to make sure the whole world knows that the relationship between National City and Olongapo is just like this,” said Morrison.

By formalizing this alliance, both cities seek to create new avenues for cultural, educational, and economic cooperation, while also enriching the lives of their residents through cross-cultural exchanges and shared experiences.

“Well it’s really nice to finally form an alliance, this partnership, this sisterhood. For the longest time Mayor Morries has embodied the sisterhood of Olongapo City and National City,” said Paulino.
