Angered by corruption? Tie a white ribbon starting October 12

Kaya Natin Movement for Good Governance Executive Director Lugie Lipumano-Garcia, Olongapo’s very own former city councilor, is calling on citizens to display white ribbons starting Sunday, October 12, to show their fight against corruption in government.

Lipumano-Garcia said the white ribbon campaign is a demonstration of Filipinos’ condemnation of corruption in DPWH flood control projects, now being probed in the Senate and investigated by the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI).

Civil society organizations are calling for another big rally on November 30, even as universities and colleges continue to hold campus walk-outs to press for accountability and end to corruption in government. (FREEPORT INSIDER)
